Goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili signed for the reds in August 2024 but was loaned back out to Valencia, with Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher competing for the number one jersey at Anfield. However, with the situation unchanged, Estadio Deportivo claim another loan has been mooted.

Mamardashvili is unsure about staying at Valencia on the same salary, however, with much more money on the table should he decide to to begin his Liverpool career. According to the report, he is insisting on a much higher wage than his current €1.5m to remain at the La Liga club.

Valencia initially signed the keeper for a fee of €850,000 in 2021 and he has gone on to establish himself as one of the world's best goalkeepers in playing 126 times for the club. However, with Alisson unlikely to leave Anfield this summer, another loan from Liverpool may be preferable to sitting on the bench.

The stopper has been a big part of Valencia's revival this season, winning three of their last four games to pull clear of the relegation zone. They are next in action against Sevilla on Friday.
