Tottenham Hotspur fans have lavished praise on midfielder Moussa Sissoko, with many labeling him their Player of the Season.
Spurs have undergone a somewhat difficult season, playing the majority of their games at Wembley and falling out of the title race and into a battle to qualify for the Champions League.
But there have been bright spots too; Mauricio Pochettino’s men are in the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite club competition, where they will face Manchester City over two legs, and have beaten the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund this term.
Sissoko has been central to their success, having enjoyed a quite dramatic transformation from a perceived expensive flop to a key lieutenant under Pochettino.
He has played 34 times in all competitions and is arguably one of the first names on the team sheet currently.
And after Spurs’ official Twitter account asked fans to suggest their “star man” of the season thus far, a number of supporters took the opportunity to praise the former Newcastle United ace.
