Manchester United face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening in the standout fixture of the Premier League weekend, and Red Devils fans don’t want Ander Herrera to start.
With Marouane Fellaini already ruled out and Nemanja Matic a doubt after picking up a knock in the 4-2 win against Watford on Tuesday night, Herrera is in pole position to take a central midfield spot alongside Paul Pogba.
Despite being one of United’s key players last season, the Spaniard has found first-team minutes harder to come by this term by making just five top flight starts and putting in some underwhelming performances.
Man United supporters were quick to have their say on the potential inclusion of the 28-year-old in the team in north London, and while one said if he plays “it’s sadly a guaranteed defeat”, another simply said “Herrera can’t start”.
