As quoted by The Express, Liverpool star Christian Benteke has claimed a number of players are seeking showdown talks with Jurgen Klopp regarding their future at the club.
The Belgium international arrived at Anfield last summer as Brendan Rodgers’ marquee signing, after amassing 49 goals across three campaigns with now-relegated Aston Villa.

But the £32.5million signing has suffered a fall from grace since Jurgen Klopp replaced the Northern Irishman in the Anfield hotseat in October, finding himself behind Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi in the pecking order.
Despite finishing up as the Reds’ second-top scorer in the Premier League with nine goals, after nomadic forward Roberto Firmino, the 25-year-old’s future on Merseyside remains in doubt.
West Ham are known to be targeting the 6 foot 3 target man, with Mirror Football recently speculating a £25million bid from the East London outfit.
Consequentially, the Belgium international is eager to discover whether he remains a part of Klopp’s plans – but claims he’s not the only Liverpool star hoping to hold showdown talks with the German gaffer.
As quoted by The Express, he said; “I want to see the manager’s plan for next season. I am not the only one who is going to do that.
“I think a lot of players want to know what is going to happen. I signed for five years, I didn’t sign for one year. But now I have to speak with the manager and see his plan.”
“I think it wasn’t my best season, but when I had my chance I scored important goals, I didn’t score goals in, like, 4-0s and 5-0s.
“It’s not that I am happy with that. I knew I could give more for the team but now the season is over I have to look forward and see what’s going to happen next season.”
