Amid all that is positive at Rangers right now, there is one worry: the future of Billy Gilmour.
Granted, we’re talking about a 15-year-old footballer who has a long way to go before he’s a Gers regular, but the young Scotsman is highly-rated at Ibrox and is being tipped to break into the XI over the coming seasons.
So, reports from the Scottish Sun that Chelsea are closing in on a deal to poach him have annoyed the Rangers faithful. It’s believed that Gilmour doesn’t want to switch to Arsenal, despite visiting the Gunners’ training facilities, and that the choice is between staying in Glasgow or heading to the west end of London, with the Blues confident of luring him away.
Naturally, Rangers supporters are pretty negative about the idea of the teenager heading to Stamford Bridge…
