According to an interview he did with Radio Sport Chile, Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has once again hinted that he is ready to leave the club this summer after admitting that he wants to play in the Champions League.
According to CNN Sport producer Matias Grez on Twitter, the 28-year-old said: “I want to play in the Champions League.
“The decision isn’t down to me and I need to wait for Arsenal.
“I’ve made my decision and now I wait for Arsenal’s reply.”
The Chile international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer as he has just one year remaining on his current Gunners deal and is yet to sign a new one.
Sanchez scored 30 goals and provided a further 19 assists in 51 appearances in all competitions for the north London outfit last term, but couldn’t prevent them finishing outside of the top four.
Arsenal supporters were quick to have their say on the comments via social media, and they were largely divided with their opinions.
While some believe he has little say in his future and will stay if the club want him to, others believe they should let him go if he isn’t going to be committed next season.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
