After another lacklustre display from Manchester United, you always knew there would be some serious questions asked.
Following the end of the Red Devils’ disappointing 1-0 defeat to Newcastle, David de Gea’s interview with Sky Sports really opened the eyes in terms of how bad things have gotten at Old Trafford.
The Spain international admitted the club’s struggles are the worst it’s ever been in his time at the club, and revealed his frustrations at seeing his side’s attack failing to even score a goal.
After hearing the 28-year-old’s comments, United fans flooded to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the situation.

Many supporters of the Manchester side admitted the goalkeeper would simply have been better off by leaving the club, and joining another team where he would have been able to compete for trophies.
Some Red Devils fans even suggested it isn’t too late to make his exit now, with one supporter in particular telling him to “cancel his contract”.
